Last Calls!
Happy Sunday all! Hope it's a good one :) It's quite chilly here so the homebody that I can be sometimes decided to stay in, bring some things in order and of course get a little crafty, too.
As for last call number uno, it's something which made me just slightly nervous. The realization that Google Reader will in fact go away. Like overnight. This very night! Yikes. I have or have not exported my subscriptions to just about every alternative there is out there. My current faves are Feedly and Flipboard and while they're both fab, each has some features that the other hasn't which I don't want to miss. Time will tell, I guess.
As for the crafty part, I did a couple of photo shoots for family and friends during the last year. It's really fun to look at these and see that I've improved over time, if I dare say so. I'm also pretty good editing them right away. Where I fail - epically - is getting them printed or burn them onto a CD and get them back to the people who'd appreciate them more than my hard drive ever will. So, what I did today is select the best ones, save them on CD/DVD and made them some simple covers with leftovers from my Studio Calico card kits and the bonus kit from Maile Belles's upcoming stamp class INKED at the SC class room which starts as soon as tomorrow and signing up ends tonight at midnight EST.
I find the designs are so clean and pretty, they don't need much more to make your projects shine. If you want to make your own inserts, the size is 4 3/4" square.
On another note, there's still time (also til midnight EST) to redeem the 5$ discount codes for a new SC main kit subscription I wrote about here and there are also some items left in the monthly last call section. It's nothing fancy this time but you can stock up on some basics that you will reach out for over and over again.
