Happy Insta Girls: Christmas Hop

Hey hey, anyone looking for Christmas card inspiration? Well, there's not really actually one in this post. Ha! But, let's take it from the top just in case you don't know what this Happy Insta Girls Blog Hop is all about. We're a group of girls (obvs!), all card makers, who met through Instagram. Now, social media is all fun and games but why not share your cards in real life with people appreciating your crafts? So, every once in a while we pick a theme and send each other cards, then share them in a blog hop. This November the theme naturally was Christmas.

Except, it looks like neither Nicole nor I did feel ready for full blown Holiday cards four weeks ago. Nonetheless, how super cute is that squirrel card she sent me?!! Her clean and simple approach was right up my alley. The photos below don't do justice to all of the details and beautiful shading on the die-cut. Also, her sentiment was just what I wanted to hear on the day her card hit my mailbox on a dull Friday afternoon. It felt like the perfect excuse to curl up with cup of coffee and relax for a bit. Thanks so much for your lovely card, Nicole!! :*)

Now, I told you, I didn't fully buy into the Christmas theme as well. I recently got a new winter stamp set from Dani Peuss Klartext line which I wanted to ink up and then there was this leftover piece of pattern paper from Studio Calico's older Winter Wonderland collection - it all came together fairly quickly from there. Too bad though that all the sparkle from the Wink of Stella marker doesn't show up in the images. It looked like the elk's scarf fell into a fairy's glitter pot :)

Thanks for hopping by! Your next stop is Katrin who got (and hopefully liked) my wintery elk card. Can't wait to see what everyone prepared for today :)
