Happy Scrappy Friends | The Circle Challenge

Welcome to a new installment of the Happy Scrappy Friends Blog Hop! This month's challenge highlights circles - and while that is a vey basic shape to work with it never gets old and can provide for a lot of movement on your projects.

I must admit that I'm on the last minute side with my project this time. So basically this meant

  • I tried to keep things simple by just using circle punches of different sizes (1 3/4", 1 1/2", 1" and 3/4" to be precise)
  • using scraps I already had on my table seemed about right.

The first scrap that caught my eye was the colorful spiral circle on the bottom from Studio Calico's August card kit. My whole color scheme developed from that one piece actually. See how simple it can be to make a "masculine" card?

To keep the circle design a bit more interesting, you can overlap them/stack them on top of one another and pop some up with foam dimensionals. If you want to go the extra mile, you can also punch out some circles from your card base and back the negative shape with patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by today! To check to full list of participants and to take on the challenge, please visit our Happy Scrappy Friends blog. There might be a prize for playing along, too *wink*
