SC Double Scoop, Part II
Hello everyone, did you score your December Daily kit? In the aftermath of that last post I was ready to search for my cookie cutters (instead a small package may have hopped into my grocery cart)... and it felt a little like Christmas when the brown truck stopped by and delivered my October kit package. A joy to work with, I can assure you! This means, however, it's high time to show you the second part of my Double Scoop kit projects:
Supplies | Studio Calico Double Scoop main card kit; ink: Papertrey Ink (Lavender Moon, Smokey Shadow); tools: Tiny Attacher, Martha Stewart butterfly punches; other: SC Mister Huey (Windbreaker, Honeydew), AmCrafts Foam Tab Circles, PTI Impression Plate (Woodgrain)
You can see, I went a little crazy with the doily stamp in the card kit for this one but it made for such a pretty background it had to be done. The fun MME enamel dot colors where a nice addition to the doily centers, then I added a few sprinkles of Mister Huey ( limited edition neon Huey's are back btw!!) to break off the regularity of the design. It certainly has more of a spring than fall feel but hey, the readers of you living Down Under may appreciate =)
Supplies | Studio Calico Double Scoop main card kit; Studio Calico Double Scoop card kit add-on Bubblegum; ink: Papertrey Ink (Raspberry Fizz, Smokey Shadow, Terracotta Tile); tools: Tiny Attacher; other: AmCrafts Foam Tab Circles, Pentel gel pen (silver)
Way before the gold trend came up, I considered myself more of a silver color girl and I loved to see some silver accents (the iridescent leaves) in the kit for a change. I paired them with the stamped flowers from the card kit add-on with some added silver gel pen dots on for a cohesive look. Detail: When I stamped my sentiment on the tag it looked a little plain, so I added a strip of the ledger paper (main card kit) over it and stamped again.
Supplies | Studio Calico Double Scoop main card kit; ink: Jenni Bowlin (Seed Packet); tools: Tiny Attacher; other: SC Mister Huey (Calico Shine), AmCrafts Foam Tab Circles, Pentel silver gel pen
This last card for today is a really quick one to put together for a baby card. The adorable cloud paper in the main card kit lends it self to a baby card theme, right? Detail: I cut one of the sentiment banners and stapled it onto my card base on the right of my die-cut, then glued it down over the die-cut and hid the staple with one of the cabochon flowers from the main card kit.
Did you already receive your Double Scoop Kits? How do you like? If you want to check out the detail shots of my projects, you can find them in the SC gallery. Happy Sunday, all!
